From the first launch of the Wenjie brand in 2021 to the debut of the Shangjie brand in 2025, Hongmeng Intelligent Driving has ushered in the moment when the "five realms" are combined into a fist.
On April 16, one week before the opening of the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the Hongmeng Intelligent Driving new product launch conference was held in Shanghai, bringing two new cars, the Wenjie M8 and the Xiangjie S9 extended-range version. At the same time, the "Shangjie" brand in cooperation with SAIC Group made its debut.
The Wenjie M8, which was officially launched on the same day, has three versions: Max, Max+ and Ultra, with a price range of 359,800 to 449,800 yuan, which is 10,000 yuan cheaper than the previous pre-sale price. Official figures show that since the pre-sale of this car started on March 6, it has received more than 150,000 small orders. One hour after the launch, the large orders exceeded 20,000. From April 20, the Wenjie M8 will start delivery.

For Wenjie, the M8, positioned as a large SUV, fills the market gap between the 350,000-450,000 yuan price range. The M8 has a length of nearly 5.2 meters and a wheelbase of over 3.1 meters. Compared with the M9, the length is only 4 centimeters shorter and the wheelbase is only 5 millimeters shorter, so the M8 is also called the "small M9". In terms of space layout, it also provides two layouts: "2+3" large five-seater and "2+2+2" six-seater.
In terms of intelligent driving, the M8 adopts the hardware solution of front 192-line laser radar + rear solid-state laser radar + 4D millimeter-wave radar, equipped with the latest Huawei ADS 3.3 Qiankun intelligent driving, supporting parking space to parking space, remote one-key car moving, ETC autonomous passage, valet parking, etc. By the third quarter of this year, the M8 will be upgraded to Huawei ADS 4 intelligent driving system across the entire series, and its intelligent driving capabilities will be further improved.
It is worth noting that in terms of safety, the M8 is also equipped with a triple safety unlocking mechanism. In addition to the mechanical handle inside the car and the mechanical door handle outside the car, the door is designed with redundancy for the first time. The door has an independent CPM power module. Even in the extreme case of the circuit being cut off, it will not affect the outside rescue. In addition, the M8's light language has more tricks, which can display various city elements or play "cyber pets".
The new extended-range version of the Xingjie S9 has also been officially launched, with a price range of 309,800 to 369,800 yuan, a direct drop of about 90,000 yuan compared to the pure electric version.
The extended-range version and the pure electric version are basically the same in appearance, but they use a new style of steering wheel and are equipped with zero-gravity seats in the back row. They are equipped with Huawei Snow Owl intelligent range-extending system consisting of a 1.5T engine + motor. The CLTC pure electric range is 365km and the comprehensive range is 1355km.
The extended-range version of the Xingjie S9 is equipped with 4 laser radars, Huawei's Tuling platform, omnidirectional collision avoidance 3.0 and Hongmeng ALPS healthy cockpit as standard, and also supports the latest Huawei ADS 3.3 advanced intelligent driving system. In the third quarter of this year, the entire series will be upgraded to Huawei ADS 4. The new car has completed the luxury evolution of waving your hand and setting a new benchmark for 300,000-level intelligent parking. It can also easily solve the dilemma of narrow parking spaces.

At the same time, the extended-range version will also be equipped with HUAWEI XPIXEL megapixel car language headlights, which not only have an interactive welcome light carpet, but also support 100-inch outdoor giant screen projection.
The "one more thing" of this conference is the official debut of the new member of the Hongmeng Intelligent Driving family - "Shangjie" jointly created by SAIC and Huawei. Jia Jianxu, President of SAIC Group, revealed at the conference that in order to launch the first car this year, SAIC has successively drawn 5,000 engineers and young backbones to form an exclusive team since the end of last year. They have worked closely with Huawei engineers on product definition, styling design, smart cabin and smart driving, and have not taken a break during the Spring Festival this year.
At the same time, SAIC will not only open its most mature factories and production lines to Shangjie, but is also planning to build a dedicated super factory. "I believe that when Huawei's code flows in SAIC's factories and SAIC's ingenuity is engraved in Huawei's algorithms, Shangjie will definitely become another masterpiece of Hongmeng Zhixing," said Jia Jianxu.

With its arrival, Hongmeng Intelligent Driving will form a brand matrix consisting of five brands: Wenjie, Zhijie, Xiangjie, Zunjie and Shangjie, and the product range will be further expanded. Yu Chengdong, Huawei's executive director and chairman of the Terminal BG, described them as five fingers. "We will walk side by side with the five partners, just like five fingers put together, gather into a fist, and burst out infinite power."
